I've been to The Glendon Bar and Kitchen twice now. The first time
was for a friend's birthday party; we all dressed up and had drinks
called "Hello Kitty" (Champagne, St. Germain, Raspberry) and "Jane
Fonda" (Russian standard vodka, cucumber lime and agave). The second
time was in opposition to the first, just two friends catching up over
happy hour. The great thing about The Glendon is that it's a
versatile bar and kitchen with a great atmosphere. It is perfect for
a casual outing or celebrating a birthday.

The second time I went to The Glendon was specifically for the happy
hour (since we missed it the first time). My friend and I sat at the
bar admiring the restaurants casual, yet classy atmosphere. We didn't
feel out of place in our jeans, but more like we fit right in. It
almost seems like The Glendon fits whatever it is you want it to be in
that moment. The Shocktop was only $4 so we ordered those first while we debated what to eat. I was partial to the Jalapeño Macaroni and Cheese only because it's my weakness and I've had it before. All appetizers are $6 and the pizzas only set you back $6.50, which made our decision even harder.

We drank our Shocktops and ate delicious food (the Mac n' cheese and
Bourbon Buffalo Wings) while watching the businessman collapse next to us complaining about their bosses. Everyone seemed to be just as
calm, relaxed and happy as we did, which is the whole point of happy
hour. It also seems to be the whole point of The Glendon Bar and
Kitchen.

Fireball on tap...what?!

I would recommend The Glendon to anyone looking for a new happy hour spot to hit up. It's in the friendly area of Westwood and it's great
for all ages, but it's even better if you are 21! The food is absolutely to die for (did I mention the Mac n' cheese enough?) and the drinks are so good you'll keep them coming from 4 - 7pm (maybe even after). With the warm colors and the bartenders who are the right amount of friendly, The Glendon will surpass your happy hour expectations and keep you coming back for more.
