In case your family can’t come visit you in LA or you’re just in a giving mood this season we’ve put together a list of places that need some help. Whether it’s a dinner in the park (potluck style) or distributing Christmas food baskets you’ll find a way to help spread the joy this season in Los Angeles.

SOVA Community Food and Resource Program

Volunteering here you’ll help SOVA fight against hunger. You’ll be making a difference in the families and individuals you help.

Union Station Homeless Services

You have to fill out an application to be a volunteer, but Union Station has a huge dinner-in-the-park for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  You’ll be helping out those who have nowhere to go this holiday season.  Unfortunately, volunteering for Thanksgiving is closed, but there’s always Christmas!

 One Voice

One Voice does everything from emergency relief to scholar programs.  There are so many ways to help out with this organization, just click the link to find out how you can!

 Fred Jordan Mission

They bring blankets, clothes, food and other vital essentials. You’d be surprised what people on the streets go without, but you could be one of the people that changes that.

One Incredible Family

For Thanksgiving you can bring home-cooked meals to Westchester Masonic Center and provide a meal for those that would have gone with out.  Everything helps and if you’re a good cook it would be a great way to give back.

After the good deed is done don’t forget to reward yourself with a happy hour at some of our favorite places in LA
