I'm always on the look out for new happy hours in Los Angeles and lately, I can barely keep up with the evergrowing amount of them. Even the restaurants and bars that I thought would never cave have now opened their arms and embraced my favorite pastime: happy hour. Therefore, I have taken the liberty of gathering some of the latest and hip happy hour pop-ups throughout the city. To all of the new "haute" happy hours out there: I thank you from the bottom of my heart, and be reminded, I will be staking out each and everyone of you for some new Dear Love reviews, so stay tuned everyone and enjoy.
Palihouse: This local West Hollywood residence offers an outdoor rooftop for city-scape parties and a bar and restaurant inside with excellent dining options, but recently, they have upgraded their happy hour with Live Jazz on Tuesdays at 6pm. The new happy hour runs Tuesday - Thursday, 6pm - 8pm with $5 beers, $7 wines, $8 cocktails and $8 bar bites.

Sassafras Saloon: I once visited this Hollywood style saloon and was super impressed with the revolving housemade brews over the bar and live music from the indoor balcony, but I was even more impressed that they started serving a happy hour everyday from 5pm - 8pm. You can now enjoy $8 cocktails (a nice break from their $12-14 regular cocktail menu) and happy hour food selections starting at $4.

Fig & Olive: If Mediterranean fare and upscale atmosphere is your thing, then swing by Fig & Olive on Melrose for their new happy hour everyday, 5pm - 7pm with $7 tasting plates and $9 cocktails and glasses of wine. The chic bar and lounge area are so classy that you may just forget you are at a happy hour.

Pearl's Liqour Bar: A newer addition to the Sunset Strip, Pearl's Liquor Bar, is now serving up "Afternoon Tea" - their version of a 1920's happy hour perhaps? The origins of happy hour date back to the 1920s, so it's all very appropriate. You can still order their specialty cocktails at full price, but why not help yourself to some $5 Sangria and white, red or rose wine by the glass?

Villa Nova at Pearl's
Picca: Picca has a new Peruvian happy hour and more specifically, HOUR. Picca in West Los Angeles now offers a daily cocktail hour from 6pm - 7pm with $8 - 9 specialty cocktails. We are just hoping now that they reconsider the single hour and give those of us traveling from a West Hollywood a little bit more time to enjoy our lesser priced libations.
