Somehow it is already November, which means that we are all starting to think about Thanksgiving. Santa is watching so we need to be on our best behavior to get what we want for Christmas.  Even though there are no presents on Thanksgiving that doesn’t mean you should write the holiday off completely.  The food is delicious, plus it is fall so you still can drink those pumpkin spice lattes like they are going out of style.  However, if you’re struggling with what to be thankful for then I’m going to give you a little help so you’re prepared on the 28th. Here are 10 reasons to be thankful for happy hour.

1. It’s cheap. I really don’t think anything else needs to said about this, but who can deny ½ priced drinks and appetizers. I can’t. You can’t. Don’t even pretend to try. The drinks are calling you.

2. It’s a great way to catch up with friends.  It’s also a good place to catch up with co-workers, people you don’t care for, but have to pretend like you do or to meet up with your crush. Basically, happy hour just has this atmosphere that is perfect for whatever your friendship dynamic is.

3. Everyone is just as tired/exhausted/overworked as you are so you don’t have to talk to anyone. Just sit there with your cheap (see reason #1) drink and look too cool and if you need a quick pick-me-up, one Redbull and vodka should do the trick.

4. With reason #3 being said, it also can be an excuse to sit next to someone and strike up a conversation (nothing better than complaining about your coworkers to a stranger). Odds are too that you have certain interests in common...happy hour perhaps?

5. It’s a great way to get out in the middle of the week and not feel guilty because you can say I’m just going out for an hour to get a $4 beer. There’s nothing bad about that. Besides, you've earned it.

6. Most places have food too so you can eat while you drink.  If you’re planning on staying for the entire happy hour then you need to be eating. Plus, chances are the happy hour appetizers are discounted too - score!

7. Late night happy hour.  Most likely for those whose boss made them work late and you just need a drink to get over the fact that you literally hate him before work the next day.

8. The people watching is always an experience.  It’s definitely a reason to be thankful, especially if you are people watching in LA. There’s nothing better than the characters that walk in during happy hour.  The haughty girls in the corner, the creep checking you out, the just turned 21 year olds and the sexy guy at the end of the bar; they’re all entertaining.

9. There are a million different places in LA (or NY or any major city) to try so you’ll never get bored or go to the same place twice.

10. There’s finally a website to update you on all things happy hour (aka lovehappyhour.com).
