Want to wine and dine with your canine? We've got you covered, Los Angeles. Summertime in Southern California has commenced and given us every excuse to cut out of work early so we can enjoy a beautiful patio and fantastic happy hours. Outdoor patios are perfect settings for an afternoon drink and appetizers, plus patios are sometimes accommodating for woman's/man's best friend too. Here's a list of some of my favorite happy hour spots for you and your furry friends.

The Fat Dog on Fairfax is a very pouch friendly spot. The spacious patio caters to all four-legged friends. Happy hour runs from 4pm to 7pm, including $3 to $6 appetizers and drink specials for beer, wine, well drinks or a $3 shot of the day. Even their bathrooms are covered in "doggy style" wall paper and the menu has a Fat Dog hot dog topped with all of the traditional fixins. Fido will be in heaven here.

A new, expanded happy hour started on Monday, May 29 at Wirtshaus located on La Brea Avenue. Wirtshaus' extensive new happy hour is home to a breezy, dog friendly patio where you can purchase a 1liter beer for a whopping $10 ($7 off regular price). Happiness begins Monday through Thursday from 5pm to 7pm and Friday through Sunday from 3pm to 7pm. Stop in with your pup for $2 off small drafts as well as a separate happy hour menu.

Typhoon Restaurant was listed in Santa Monica's '10 best pooch friendly restaurants.' Their dog friendly patio offers a relaxing area to grab happy hour. Drink specials include $4 beer, wine, well drinks and sake. They also have a $3- $5 appetizer menu with Asian tapas. Happy hour goes from Monday through Friday 4:30pm to7pm.

Another one of Santa Monica's pooch friendly restaurants is M Street Kitchen, formally La Grande on Orange. The patio at M Street Kitchen is dog friendly and the food is people friendly! M Street Kitchen features $3 draft beers, $5 wine by the glass and $3 red or white sangria. Their happy hour runs every day from 4pm to 6:30pm and includes an amazing menu: $2 to $6 bar snacks, $5 to $7 sushi rolls and a $6 California classic cheeseburger with hand-cut french fries.

The Den of Hollywood

For our Hollywood friends, The Den of Hollywood offers a great outdoor patio right off the Sunset strip with a stone fire pit and board games to boot. The Den's happy hour runs daily from 5pm to 7pm and offers half off well drinks, house wine, and draft beer as well as a small plates menu from $4 to $7. Drop by The Den of Hollywood and then take your dog to the William S Hart Park & Off-Leash Dog Park right down the street - you'll have one happy pup.
