I hit up the 99cent store store today and I picked up some stellar deals: beautiful blackberrries and an entire bag of limes for $2! The weather in LA was beautiful today, so instead of my usual 5pm happy hour glass of red wine on my night off, I opted to make some homemade blackberry margaritas. Sounds great, right?
I posted a picture on the Lovehappyhour.com Facebook page, and I got an immediate response. Margit Holakoui and Alicia Schleuse liked the post instantly and asked for the recipe. So here I am, typing out the recipe for you ladies and any other blackberry margarita enthusiasts out there. Hence, thanks for being fans of Lovehappyhour.com and that's why I'm calling this one: A FANtastic Blackberry Margarita.
National Margarita Day is February 22nd, so celebrate with this FANtastis Blackberry Margarita and let me know what you think...and what a bargain, right?
Ingredients: 2 - 3 Blackberries 2 oz of Blanco or Silver Tequila (we used Sauza) 1 1/2 oz of Fresh Lime Juice 3/4 oz of Orange Juice 1/2 of Pomegranate Juice 1/2 oz of Agave Ice
Mix it: Muddle blackberries. Next, layer ingredients and shake well. Strain over fresh ice. Garnish with a lime wedge and a blackberry.
