Mexican Leprechaun Cocktail

• April 10th, 2015

We’re always on the lookout for great new cocktails and recently, we discovered a new tequila-based one that sure to tickle your taste buds for this upcoming Cinco de Mayo! Although leprechauns are mainly Irish symbol, Cabo Wabo Tequila company used the name to create their own Mexican spinoff.

This tequila cocktail sounds a little similar to the Moscow Mule, which is still trending big time across the globe and anyway, lime and tequila go together like…well, cocktails and ice! One popular spot that serves excellent cocktails like this one is Toronto bar D. W. Alexander. We had to give this spot a shout out because, word is, they have a great happy hour too!

(makes 1 cocktail)

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces Cabo Wabo blanco tequila
  • 0.5 ounces Rose’s lime juice
  • Ginger ale
  • 1 lemon wedge
  • ice
  • This cocktail is pretty easy to prepare. It belongs among martini drinks and naturally, it is served in a martini glass. Put lime juice and tequila blanco into a mixing glass half filled with ice. Stir for a bit and then strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass. Afterwards, you need to top it with ginger ale. If you wish, you can garnish the cocktail with a lemon wedge.

So what are you waiting for? Grab that tequila blanco, pre-chill your martini glasses and get SHAKIN’!
