Flowers and Champagne Cocktail (a Valentine's Day cocktail recipe)

The way to my heart on Valentine’s Day? Flowers and Champagne, of course! Sure, add in some chocolates while you’re at it and perhaps some diamonds, too? But seriously, what if you could have both combined in a cocktail? Read on my lovelies, and you shall have your tasty wish.

Drumroll… Flowers and Champagne Cocktail! Yep, Happy Valentine’s Day from me to you! I’ve created a new beautiful drink for you or your sweetheart and it only requires 3 ingredients.

Let’s start with the pretty pink color. One of my favorite pink cordials is Liqueur de Violettes; a unique liqueur based on an 1868 French recipe that is actually created from only the finest French violets. Combine it with Almond Flavored Sparkling Wine (Almond Creek Vineyards) from Trader Joe’s and the drink is already complete. Now you just need a gorgeous garnish!

Chamomile. Did you know you could buy it fresh? I love when I find fresh bundles of Chamomile for sale at Trader Joes! They cost around $4 and I can use them to put in vases, in hot water, to infuse vodka or to garnish in cocktails.

So there you have it. One beautiful and delicious drink – only 3 ingredients! Flowers and Champagne is the perfect flirty and floral cocktail for Valentine’s Day. By the way, it just happens to go perfectly with the Cranberry Pecan Shortbread Cookies I tried from Broadway Baker. XOXO!

Please let me know if you try making this drink, and don’t forget to tag me @lovehappyhour and #lovehappyhour on Instagram or Twitter, so I can see your awesome cocktail creation!
