Triple 8 China Bar and Grill, a new restaurant featuring a contemporary take on northern and southern Chinese cuisine, has officially opened its doors for business at the tourist friendly L.A. Live in Downtown Los Angeles. The impressive new 8,500 square feet bar and grill features an array of specialty cocktails, dumplings, Cantonese style seafood and soon, there’s word of happy hour (late night, too) arriving.
Off Olympic Boulevard, locals and tourists alike can see right into restaurant when walking by on the street; retractable doors really “open up” the place and offer an inviting glimpse of the left justified bar playing sports games and a spacious dining area. An exclusive private dining room dressed with vibrant flowers and elegant lighting is kept to the right for special events.
Highlights from Triple 8’s menu include the Pork Dumplings, Roasted Duck, Seafood Garlic Noodles and the incredible Steamed Whole Lobster with garlic, cilantro, chives and ginger lime broth. A cocktail must-try is the Jade of Arc, comprised of Herradura blanco tequila, fresh lime juice, agave nectar and ginger beer.
The M2K Group is excited to add their new upscale-casual concept with late-night appeal to the growing DTLA line up at L.A. Live…and already their indoor/outdoor design is proving to be easy on the eyes. Triple 8 is making quite an impression with some tasty kick-off dishes, and with just a little finesse to their new menu, we think this new kid on the block will fit right in.
