Wicked Willy's - Happy Hour

There’s a bar on 149 Bleecker Street in New York City that knows how to make you happy. Maybe it’s because of their daily drink specials (I’m talking $3 vodka & cranberry) or the funny signs on the walls or because the employee’s there are top notch. Honestly, I’m pretty sure it’s a combination of all those things, plus the fact that at 7PM on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday they have live music. There’s also high top tables in front, beer pong in the middle and a lounge in the back. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the 8 TV’s they have so you can watch whatever sport is your poison.
The first time I stepped into Wicked Willy’s was in January and it was absolutely freezing, but the bar was warm and had good drink specials. I sat at one of the high top tables with some friends and we drank beer complaining about why we chose to visit in the dead of winter. I sort of fell in love with it because everyone is so nice and the signs that hung on the walls were really funny, plus it’s pirate themed (come on, that’s great). They also don’t have bars like Wicked Willy’s in California so it was something completely different than what I was used to.
Somehow Wicked Willy’s, a pirate themed bar, manages to be a place for a variety of groups. Whether you’re a student at NYU, a tourist looking for a night out, or a group of co-workers you’ll find great deals at Wicked Willy’s. I would suggest Wicked Willy’s to anyone who wants to have a good time with great people. Whether you go with friends in the dead of winter or by yourself in the summer, you’ll walk out happier than when you walked in. Oh, I forgot to mention…they added a kitchen so you can add some food to the half-off drinks you’re ordering. You can thank me later.
